The lands of Oropa Way
A territory to be discovered
A project to enhance the territory through slow tourism. It originates from the construction of a shared narrative, in which walking and cycling are not the goal of the vacation: they are instead the means to discover a wonderful territory, the communities that inhabit it, and the typical products of the area, at the right speed.
The novelty is the creation of a physical network between the producers and the beautiful sustainable realities of the area, which are connected by routes to be traveled sustainably.
Because people are the best part of the Oropa Way.

An area enhancement project in which walking and biking are not the end of the vacation, but are a means to discover a wonderful territory, the communities that inhabit it, and the typical productions of the area, at the right speed.
What is new is the creation of a physical network between the producers and the beautiful sustainable realities of the area, which are connected by routes to be traveled by low environmental impact means.
Because the best part of the Oropa Trail is the people. The Oropa Walk is part of the Movimento Lento network.
Our progress is slow but deliberate.
We are a social cooperative-tour operator, a network of individuals and associations in Italy and around the world. Our story began in the late 1990s, when a handful of people began to question the meaning of mass tourism. Traveling and getting to know projects related to fair trade gave birth to the idea of starting a social enterprise that would disrupt the paradigms of tourism and work in direct contact with the civil society of the places visited, with people and associations directly involved in development projects.
