The House of Slow Movement - Guesthouse
The Slow Movement House is a guesthouse and retreat for travelers, a place to meet and share, where you can unplug and take back your time.
Seminars on the subject of traveling by foot and bicycle are organized at the House as part of the Movimento Lento Academy, guests have at their disposal guidebooks, maps, and useful information for exploring the area, and a rich specialized library.
It is possible to rent bicycles and e-bikes; an App is available with tracks of the main routes in the surrounding area, and guests have detailed maps of the area. Cycle-tourists have access to a closed, covered bike-room and a small bike workshop.
Via Francigena credentials can be purchased at the B&B.
The B&B can accommodate 6 people, in two large rooms, one with a private bathroom, one with an outside bathroom.
Our progress is slow but deliberate.
We are a social cooperative-tour operator, a network of individuals and associations in Italy and around the world. Our story began in the late 1990s, when a handful of people began to question the meaning of mass tourism. Traveling and getting to know projects related to fair trade gave birth to the idea of starting a social enterprise that would disrupt the paradigms of tourism and work in direct contact with the civil society of the places visited, with people and associations directly involved in development projects.
