Adventure Tour on the Moraine Ridge

An immersion in the nature on Morena more long in Europe

The most "sporty" of the Slowacanze in the Lands of the Oropa Trail. Thanks to three routes that start from the small village of Torrazzo, nestled on the crest of Ivrea's Serra Morenica, we will be able to venture along beautiful dirt roads to discover now the Biellese side and now the Canavese side of Europe's longest moraine hill.

The first day, will be an adventure to discover the Five Lakes Natural Area, a legacy of the ancient glacier that shaped the places and landscape in this area.

The following day we will discover the Bessa Park, where more than 2,000 years ago gold mining by the Romans and ancient peoples transformed the landscape, giving it an almost "lunar" atmosphere. We will also pass through the village of Magnano, with its ancient ricetto, the Pieve di San Secondo and the monastic community of Bose, where we can pause to breathe in an intrinsic spirituality.

Slowacanza closes in beauty with a ring dedicated to the discovery of local producers, especially dedicated to lovers of quality wine, which in the Terre del Cammino di Oropa has found an ideal terroir, where the vineyards are reflected in the calm waters of Lake Viverone.

The routes are suitable for people with good training and experience in mixed and technical terrain.

How to appreciate the Oropa Way every season

During the hot season the first stage can be a bit more strenuous than you might think for mileage and elevation gain because it is largely in the sun. Also, there can be a lot of mosquitoes in the Serra forest, so on the second and third stages we recommend that you carry repellent to keep them away.
