Cascina Torrine
Cascina Torrine is a place to take a break in contact with nature and animals, as well as to enjoy numerous delicacies prepared by the kitchen staff. The farmhouse is located in a landscape immersed in green countryside and surrounded by farm animals.
The kitchen offers traditional Piedmontese dishes enhanced by the use of herbs grown on the farm. The farm also has some rooms for rural hospitality in the silence between the vineyard and orchard. Cascina Torrine is also an equipped rest area for tents, campers and caravans.
The Cascina's recently renovated, brick-vaulted tavern, with attention to every detail, is available for events such as birthdays, company parties and evenings with friends. Next to the Cascina is the Essenziario: an edible botanical garden aimed at preserving, enhancing and utilizing the collected aromatic, medicinal and wild herbs with the purpose of preserving wild biodiversity.
Our progress is slow but deliberate.
We are a social cooperative-tour operator, a network of individuals and associations in Italy and around the world. Our story began in the late 1990s, when a handful of people began to question the meaning of mass tourism. Traveling and getting to know projects related to fair trade gave birth to the idea of starting a social enterprise that would disrupt the paradigms of tourism and work in direct contact with the civil society of the places visited, with people and associations directly involved in development projects.
